during WW2, Thousands of Jews were transported to death camps in cattle cars. This memorial is one of the original cattle cars used for that purpose. It is perched on the edge of an abyss, facing the Jerusalem forest. It is meant to symbolize both the impending horror, and the rebirth which followed the Holocaust.
